BROOKLYN’S STORY

This adorable little girl lives with her parents and brother Jose in Los Angeles. Jose is 15 years old. As a result of a brain tumor Jose has significant neurological, cognitive and severe psychiatric disabilities including seizure disorder, mental retardation, psychosis, rage attacks, and aggression. He also has medical issues such as obesity, sleep apnea and asthma.

The referring physician says of Brooklyn that she is a bright, beautiful, sweet, capable child who has a lot to offer the world. Brooklyn hates Lima beans, loves hot dogs and wants to be a pediatrician.

DAVID’S STORY

This precocious little boy lives with his mother, grandparents, and brother Ryan. David is an energetic 10 year old who is very protective of his brother. Ryan has severe autism, requires constant supervision, and needs assistance with daily activities. David helps his brother get dressed, eat, and perform everyday personal hygiene routines. The young lover of bacon enjoys taking care of his brother, but at the tender age of 10 he doesn’t always understand all the care Ryan needs.
